Welcome to Hill Vision – proudly independent opticians located in the heart of Amersham on the Hill, right on the lively Hill Avenue.
We’ve been part of the local community for over 10 years. Hill Vision first opened as part of a franchise, but after a few years, we made the bold decision to step away and become fully independent—and we’ve never looked back. Starting out on our own was something we’d always wanted to do. We believed something was missing in the world of eye care—particularly around quality and personalised service—and that belief became the foundation of everything we do.
At Hill Vision Opticians, located on Hill Ave in Amersham, we’re dedicated to providing exceptional eye care for adults and children. Regular eye exams are crucial for maintaining good vision and overall health. Did you know that around 50% of sight loss could be avoided with regular checkups?
I was advised to have and offered a same day appointment at Hill vision, as I was worried about my right eye. Amit took photos of my retina and noticed a possible retina tear. He then referred me for an urgent same day appointment at Stoke Mandeville hospital which I received and by early evening I had undergone laser surgery at the hospital. If it hadn’t been for Amit’s quick and decisive action I could have had a detached retina and I know that is really serious. Thank you Amit.
I wanted a better experience than the normal high street opticians seem to offer, so visited this independent and I was pleased with the result. The eye test felt very thorough and I felt the store owner was knowledgeable and up to date with the latest equipment and he was friendly and easy to chat to about my eye needs during the examination.
Our comprehensive eye tests, conducted by registered Optometrist Amit Mandla, go beyond simply checking your prescription. These 30-minute appointments are tailored to your individual needs and include:
We understand the importance of healthy vision for children’s development. Approximately 13% of children in the UK may have undiagnosed sight problems, which can impact their literacy and education. We offer:
I cannot thank Amit enough for his dedication to his work. In June Amit referred me for an urgent head scan, they found a tumour that had been misdiagnosed by the NHS for years. Aka have since had the tumour removed, yesterday I went back for an eye test and my sight is nothing beyond amazing now. This incredible journey started with Amit, for this I will be eternally grateful. ☺️
