We’ve been part of the local community for over 10 years. Hill Vision first opened as part of a franchise, but after a few years, we made the bold decision to step away and become fully independent—and we’ve never looked back. Starting out on our own was something we’d always wanted to do. We believed something was missing in the world of eye care—particularly around quality and personalised service—and that belief became the foundation of everything we do.
Today, we’re known not only for our expert eye care and high-quality eyewear, but also for our personality. Our store is bright, welcoming, and full of character—featuring fun details like “Eyewear Through the Ages,” a series of illustrations by local artist Mark Cowie.

Made up of Optometrist, Amit Mandla and Dispensing Optician, Nicole Banks. Between them they have 55 years experience in the optical industry.
Amit has been a Registered Optometrist with the General Optical council in Harley St. for 20 years previously working with many of the multiples. A fun loving kind of guy, always willing to go the extra mile and has an empathetic approach. An active participant at the Buckinghamshire local Optical Committee, accredited for direct cataract referral and always keeping up to date with the profession.
Always looking at the best interest of the patient, recently attended and completed a course on dry eyes and eyes and nutrition (which helps Age Related Macula Degeneration).
He lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife and 2 boys, Enjoys going to the gym, cars and travelling.

Nicole has many years of experience as a registered Dispensing Optician, having previously held a number of different roles for major multiple opticians. The job, which she had originally intended to be temporary, continued for almost 35 years! She travelled to many different stores in London and the home counties. However, looking for a more relaxed approach and the focus being on the customer, she jumped at the chance to join Hill Vision.
She is definitely a perfectionist and will help with frame selection (she will be brutally honest!) and gives advice on the right type of lenses for your vision and lifestyle.
She has returned to live in the same town in Hertfordshire where she grew up and enjoys reading detective novels, watching sixties cult TV, indulging in pilates and taking part in quizzes (once told she had a head “full of useless knowledge”, she has found this invaluable with regards to the latter!)

Amit has gone above & beyond during these difficult times in ensuring my Grandfather has had glasses after he broke his during a fall. Visited his house to collect them & then dropped off new ones once he’d sorted out replacement frames & lenses. Would definitely recommend.
